नेपाल रेडक्रस सोसाइटी बालकोट उपशाखा द्वारा आधारभुत स्वास्थ्य सेवा कार्यक्रम अन्तर्गत “साप्ताहिक स्वास्थ्य परिक्षण” कार्यक्रम हाम्रो स्वास्थ्य हाम्रै हातमा नियमितरुपमा सञ्चालन गर्न मिति २०६९ साल बैशाख ९ गते बालकोट गा.वि.स उप स्वास्थ्य चौकि अन्तर्गतका ९ वटा वडाका स्वास्थ्य स्वंयम सेविकहरु, एंम बालकोट रेडक्रसमा स्वंयम सेवाक र मिड सिटी अस्पतालका प्रतिनिधिहरु बिच अन्तरक्रिय कार्यक्रम  सञ्चालन गरियो ।

कार्यक्रमको सुरुमा कार्यक्रम संयोजक श्री कृष्ण मुरारी पौडेलज्यू बाट कार्यक्रममा उपस्थित हुनु भएका ने.रे.सो बालकोट उपशाखा सभापति लवकुमार कार्की, सचिव दिवाकर सिलवाल, कोषाध्यक्ष उमेश सिलवाल सह कोषाध्यक्ष हरिहर भण्डारी यु.रे.स बालकोटका दिपेश श्रेष्ठ, सुरोज रानाभाट, उर्मीला श्रेष्ठ, उमेश परियर, कुमार के.सी, मिड सिटी अस्पतालका प्राविधिक रुपेन लामा र बालकोट गा.वि.स उप स्वास्थ्य चौकि अन्तर्गत बडाका स्वास्थ्य स्वंयम सेविकाहरु  लगायत कार्यक्रममा उपस्थित सम्पुर्ण रेडक्रस प्रेमि माहानुभाहरुलाई कार्यक्रममा स्वागत गर्नुका साथै आगामि बैशाख २३ गते आयोजना गर्न लागियको हाम्रो स्वास्थ्य हामै हातमा कार्यक्रमको उद्धघाटन समारोह तथा बृहत नि शुल्क स्वास्थ्य परिक्षण कार्यक्रम सम्वन्धमा जानकारी गराउदै उक्त कार्यक्रममा मैत्रिय बचत तथा ऋण सहकारी सस्ंथा बाट त्यस दिनको सम्पुर्ण खर्च गरि सहयोग गर्नु का साथै मिड सिटी अस्पताल बाट सम्पुर्ण प्राविदिक सहयोग उपलब्ध गराउने कुराको जनकारी दिनु भयो ।

कार्यक्रमको दोस्रो चरणमा मिड सिटी अस्पतालका प्राविधिक रुपेन लामाज्यू बाट सम्पुर्ण प्राविदिक सहयोग एंम नि शुल्क औषधि बितरण गरिने र उक्त कार्यक्रमका लाति स्त्री रोग, हाड जोर्नि, फिजीसियन तथा समान्य सर्जरी का लागी समेत डक्टरहरुको व्यवस्था गरिने कुरा जानकारी गराउनु भयो । त्यसै गरि बालकोट गा.वि.स उप स्वास्थ्य चौकि अन्तर्गतका ९ वटा वडाका स्वास्थ्य स्वंयम सेविकहरु बट यस कार्यक्रमको लागि आवश्यक हरतरहको सहयोग आफूहरुले गर्ने प्रतिवद्धता जाएर गर्नु भयो ।
कार्यक्रमाको अन्तिम चरणमा ने.रे.सो बालकोट उपशाखा सभापति लवकुमार कार्कीज्यू बाट मैत्रिय बचत तथा ऋण सहकारी सस्ंथा, मिड सिटी अस्पताल, बालकोट गा.वि.स उप स्वास्थ्य चौकि अन्तर्गतका ९ वटा वडाका स्वास्थ्य स्वंयम सेविकहरु लगायत सम्पूर्ण स्वास्थ्य सेवा संग सम्वन्धि सस्थाहरु बालकोट रेडक्रस संग हातेमालो गर्दै अघि बड्नु पर्नेे कुरा व्यक्तगर्नु भयो भने कार्यक्रम संयोजक कृष्णमुरारी पौडेलज्यू बाट मैत्रिय बचत तथा ऋण सहकारी सस्ंथा, मिड सिटी अस्पताल, बालकोट गा.वि.स उप स्वास्थ्य चौकि अन्तर्गतका ९ वटा वडाका स्वास्थ्य स्वंयम सेविकहरु लगायत मिड सिटी अस्पताललाई विशेष धन्यवाद दिदै कार्यक्रम समापन गर्नु भयो ।

Our initiative towards the better health of the community

हाम्रो स्वास्थ हाम्रै हातमा "Our health in our own hand"

           The Health subcommittee of our subchapter is proud to announce a weekly health check up program "हाम्रो स्वास्थ हाम्रै हातमा(Our health in our own hand)". The coordinator Mr. Krishna Murari Poudel said, "In the beginning phase of the project, any individual from society can get the free check up of body weight, Blood Pressure and blood glucose level. Later on the program will be expanded to whole body check up". To start up the project, this saturday, April 14th 2012, the health subcommittee  organised a volunteer orientation program to teach the volunteers about minuting and budgeting of the program. The session of Minuting was run by Secretary Mr. Diwakar Silwal and the other session about the budgeting was held by treasurer Mr. Umesh Silwal. DC member Mr. Rajan Khadka, sub treasurer Mr. Harihar Bhandari, youth volunteers Miss Sunita Silwal, Mr. Kumar KC, Mr. Samrat Kandel and Mr. Puspa Poudel were also present in the occassion.

              The program was mainly sponsored by Himalayan Online Services Pvt. Ltd(HONS) who had promised to give NRs. 1000 Per month as long as the program runs and for starting donated the tracksuits to volunteers worth NRs. 3500. The other sponsor Mr. Prakash Bhattarai, HOD Finance Department, World Link Communications Pvt. Ltd. also promised to give NRs. 1000 per month upto 25 months from the starting of the project. For this help NRCS is going to provide him a distinguished membership. Social worker Mr. Ravi Khadka donated 11 vests (Blue and Brown) to the volunteers of the project. Mr. Nabin Poudel donated the weighing machine, sphygmomanometer (Blood Pressure Testing device)  as well as Blood Glucose level testing machine. Stationeries required for the project was donated by Mr. Umesh Silwal and Mr. Krishna Murari Poudel while the donation box has been provided by Mr. Yamsang Lama, a staff of WLink. Flex board and banner has been supplied by Mr. Dipesh Shrestha.

Orientation Program of Hamro Swasthya Hamrai Haatma

We are the best again

NRCS Balkot Subchapter has been the best subbrach in the district for the regular second time in the histroy of NRCS Bhaktpur District Chapter. Not only that, this year NRCS Balkot Yuba Circle has been announced as the best among the youth circles and NRCS Chairperson Mr. Lava Kumar Karki as 'the most active volunteer' of Bhaktapur district. These announcement was made on the 17th District Annual General Meeting of NRCS Bhaktapur Chapter held on April 7th 2012. While announcing these prizes the Chief guest to the program, NRCS National General Secretary Mr. Dev Ratna Dhakhwa encouraged the volunteers of Balkot Subchapter and erged that not only the best in district, they actually could get the best among the whole nation if they keep up their good works in the same rate. On the occassion the other speakers also praised the good works of Balkot subchapter.

            The Program was organised by NRCS Bhaktapur Chapter in the hospitality of Duwakot Subchapter and was inaugurated by Mr. Dhakhwa by lighting candles. The second session of the program was more concentrated on the election because it was the time to select a new committee members for next four years. The election was started on 4pm and end at 6 pm. In that election the present Chairperson Mr. Manoj Kumar Thapa was undisputed candidate for the Chairperson again so he was selected without voting while the 12 persons for the members of committee were voted among the 24 other nominees. Out of which Miss Krishneswori Hada got the most votes while DC secretary Mr. Krishna Gopal Lageju was also one of the winners. Mr. Rajan Khadka representative from Balkot Subchapter also won for the second time as executive memeber of DC.

Blood Donation Program organised

Nepal Red Cross Society has been conducting different programs coordinating with other different organisation situated in Balkot. Recently, on the opening program of Paradise Academy, NRCS Balkot Subchapter coordinated to run "open blood donation program". In that program we collected about 54 pints of blood among the donors 10 were Ladies blood donors. The program was coordinated by NRCS Balkot sub chapter vice chairperson, Mr. Chandra Krishna shrestha. On the occasion Chairperson, Mr. Lava kumar karki, District committee member Mr. Rajan Khadka, Secretary Mr.Diwakar Silwal, Treasurer Mr.Umesh Silwal, Vice-secretary Mr. Jayraj poudel, Mr. Hari har Bhandari, NRCS Balkot Yuba Circle chairman Mr. Krishna Murari poudel and 20 other youth volunteers were employed to make the program great success.

Red Cross in Front line with Social and Cultural Activites in Balkot

On International Women's Day, Nepal Red Cross Society along with Mahila Saving and Co-operative limited did a community cleaning activity. The day was March 8 2012 where NRCS Balkot Sub-Chapter Vice Chairperson Mr. Chandra Krishna Shrestha, Secretary Mr. Diwakar Silwal, Treasurer Mr. Umesh Silwal, Vice-Secretary Mr. Jayaraj Poudel, youth volunteer Mr. Samrat Kandel and dozens of other volunteers from NRCS Balkot Sub-chapter with the executive members and volunteers of Mahila Saving and Credit Co-operative were present and did Cleaning on the both sides of main road from Hanumante Bridge to Balkot chowk. Dust of Roads were swept away, Long bushes on the side were cut down and degradable materials were sent to make compost manure while the nondegradable materails were burnt off.

Giving continuity to the preservation of Nepalese Culture and Tradition, like previous years, Holi 'Festival of Colors' was also celebrated by Balkot Red Cross. This is the festival which is celebrated for the miraculous escape that young Prahlad accomplished when Demoness Holika, sister of Hiranyakashipu, carried him into the fire. Holika was burnt but Prahlad, a staunch devotee of god Vishnu, escaped without any injuries due to his unshakable devotion.This is celebrated by people throwing different colors and water to eachother.

About 30 volunteers of Red Cross participated in the program where the participants sang and dance in the holi songs to send the message of brotherhood in the community. The program was ended in joyous note by Treasurer Mr. Umesh Silwal.

Last Saturday Feb 25 2012, 11th AGM of balkot sub chapter has been successfully conducted.In the active co-ordination of vice chairperson Mr. Chandra Krishna Shrestha, the program ran in two session. For the first session, which was opening session, Chief Guest  was Mr. Manoj Kumar Thapa, who is the present Chairperson for NRCS District Chapter Bhaktapur and has also been recently elected as member for NRCS central committee. Founder chairperson Mr. Uddhab Silwal, District Chapter treasurer Miss Krishneswori Hada, Immidiate Past Chairperson and DC member Mr. Rajan Khadka, Illustrious Member Mr. Raju Khadka, Illustrious Member Mr. Puran Bahadur Baniya Chetri, Illustrious Member and Everest Bank Lazimpat Branch Manager Mr. Ranjan Khadka,  Illustrious Member Mr. Harihar Bhandari.Social Worker and Distinguished Member Mr. Narayan Pd. Sanjel, Social Worker and Distinguished Member Mr. Rohit Bahadur Rana Bhat, NRCS Balkot Yuba Circle President and distinguished member Mr. Krishna Murari Poudel, Social Worker and Distinguished Member Mr. Bhola Singh Silwal and members of all party alliances were the guest for the program whose chairmanship was done by the NRCS Balkot Sub chapter Chairperson himself Mr. Laba Kumar Karki.

The program was started with offering garland to the fouder Jean Henry Dunant and lighting the 11 candles for the 11th agm of NRCS Balkot Sub-Chapter. Chief guest and the illustrious members were the one who were alloted to light those candles. Mr. Rajan Khadka in his speech wished for the success of the program and also wished for the successful completion of the building construction. 

Secretary putting forward future plans

Secretary Mr. Diwakar Silwal put forward the annual progress report of the last fiscal year. In his speech he also addressed the past program organised by NRCS Balkot subchapter and as well as the future plan. 

Treasurer giving financial report.

Mr. Umesh Silwal as the treasurer of the committee talked about the financial report of FY 2067-68. He said that NRs. 71,21,204.00 has been spent for the construction of building last year and only NRs. 35,21,204.00 has been received as donation by different personalites and organisation, NRs. 15,48,213.00 is yet to be received from the person who had promised the donations. NRs. 16,00,000.00 is in credit and NRCS Balkot Subchapter has NRs. 15,00,000.00 as Loan in different organisation. Towards the ending of his speech, he also thanked all the donors who have donated for the construction of the building till date.

All the speakers in the session praised about the building and the good work done by the committee members and talked about the benefits that a society can gain by this building in future.

Receiving illustrious membership

In the program chief guest Mr. Manoj Kumar Thapa also distributed the certificate of illustrious membership to Mr. Uddhab Silwal, Mr. Puran Bahadur Baniya Chettri, Mr. Raju Khadka, Mr. Ranjan Khadka, Mr. Harihar Bhandari, Mr. Laba Kumar Karki, Mr. Madhusudhan Silwal, Mr. Singh Bahadur Karmacharya. (They have donated more than NRs. 1,00,000) and distinguished membership certificate to Mr. Umesh Silwal, Mr. Sajan Silwal, Mr. Jay Raj Poudel, Mr. Chandra Krishna Sherestha, Mr. Krishna Murari Poudel, Mr. Diwakar Silwal, Mr. Sher Bahadur Kunwar, Mr. Bhoal Singh Silwal and all together 31 peoples who have donated more than NRs. 25,000 to the building and Life time membership to other 150 persons.

In the program itself the Mr. Bhola Singh Silwal announced to add NRs. 75,000 to make his donation add up to NRs. 1,05,555 and Mrs. Alka Jha annouced to add NRS. 20,000 to add upto 25,555. Altogether, different persons announced about 1,75,000 to donate for the completion of building.

At the end of the first session the program co-ordinator Mr. Chandra Krishna Shrestha thanked all the participants as well as Mr. Jaya Raj Poudel who was hosting the program. The first session was ended by the short speech of the chairperson Mr. Laba Kumar Karki.

This annual meeting was the election meeting. The second session was conducted for electing the executive committee members for the next 4 years. The session re-elected Mr. Lava Kumar Karki as the chairperson and Mr. Diwakar Silwal, Mr. Jay Raj Poudel, Mr. Chandra Krishna Shrestha, Mr. Harihar Bhandari, Mr. Umesh Silwal, Mrs. Sarita Neupane, Mr. Lawa Rajaura and Mr. Rajan Khatri have been elected as the members again for next 4 years committee. The meeting also directed the elected members to divide the task in their first meeting. To the elected members Mr. Rajan Khadka put tika and red powder(abir). All the elected member promised to be abide by the 7 principles of Red Cross to work for the largest humanitarian Organisation.
